It’s no big secret that whenever I travel I love finding a local, independent bookstore and buy a book, if possible, one that’s somehow thematically related to my trip.
When I previously attended the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival, that store was the River Lights Bookstore.
Which is why I’m so excited to collaborate with them and with the festival, ahead of the Iowa screenings of But I’m a Shoe next month!

But I’m a shoe starring Janet Varney is coming to the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival and, to celebrate, we launched a special collaboration with the wonderful River Lights Bookstore in Dubuque, Iowa.
Starting April 1st and until the last day of the festival, anyone who’ll stop by River Lights and show a proof of purchase for one of our two screenings, will get a FREE But I’m a Shoe item, some signed by Janet!

But that’s not all! River Light will also give a one time, 15% discount for a store purchase to anyone who presents ANY kind of festival pass.
